The Sweetest & Hottest Airfryer Wings

I have been eating sweet heat chicken wings for a long time now. In fact, I do not remember when I first ate them.

On the contrary, I do remember that whenever I tried those wings, I fell in love with them instantly.

I figured they were going to be good, so my reaction did not come as a surprise to me.

I love spicy foods and I love the taste of sweetness. In my mind, this is a match made in heaven.

Furthermore, my hunch was correct, and all I can think of is “why didn’t I try the sweet and spicy combination sooner?”

Eventually, this moment led to me making the airfryer sweet heat chicken wings.

Sweet Heat Sauce

You can’t have this sweet heat chicken wings recipe without a sweet heat sauce. The beauty of this sauce is that it can be made in so many ways.

All you need is something sweet, something spicy, and a liquid component, and you have your sweet heat sauce.

Moreover, sweet heat sauce does not need airfryer wings to be great. This sauce is good on everything.

The Life Of An Airfryer Owner

Take caution towards people who own an airfryer.

Those people act like they are better than everyone else. Unfortunately, I have recently become “those people”, and I love it!

At first, I tried to humble myself and cook everything in a skillet.

One day, I heard a quiet whisper coming from my freezer.

The whisper said, “put me in the airfryer”. As I cautiously approached the freezer, the whisper started to become louder.

Once the freezer door swung open, it was crystal clear that I was hearing, “put me in the airfryer”, and that was by my chicken wings.

Before I knew it, the airfryer sweet heat chicken wings recipe was created.

The Results From My Actions

My airfryer turn my chicken wings to a golden brown hue that looked even better once it was coated in a sweet heat sauce.

On the contrary, chicken wings with spicy BBQ sauce are also fantastic.

Can You Put Raw Chicken In An Air Fryer?

Yes, you can put raw chicken in an air fryer.

Now, granted, I cooked these wings in the oven before I put them in the air fryer because I wanted the meat to be tender and get as close to falling off the bone as possible with fried chicken wings.

With that being said, if I have to cook all of my food before I put them in the air fryer, then there would be no point in using the air fryer, to begin with.

Are Air Fryer Chicken Wings Healthy?

To say that air fryer chicken wings are healthy is debatable.

However, it is safe to say that putting wings in the air fryer is healthier than cooking wings in oil.

By using an air fryer, you cut down on the calories that come from the oil.

Also, the air fryer can reduce the amount of acrylamide that is produced due to frying your food.

In return, this will reduce your chances of cancer from eating fried food.

That fun fact should give you more of an incentive to make this airfryer sweet heat chicken wings recipe.

How Many Wings Can Fit In An Airfryer?

The number of wings that can fit in an airfryer will depend on the size of the airfryer.

Also, if you like your wings crispy, then your wings will need to have space in between them. With do this, fewer wings will be able to go in your airfryer.

What Temperature To Air Fry Chicken Wings?

When I air fry my chicken wings, I cook them at 400 degrees.

Other airfryer chicken wing recipes use this same temperature to cook their chicken wings.

On the other hand, I am sure there is a recipe using any temperature other than 400 degrees.

If the drums and flats are already separated, then you can skip this step.

Seasoning The Wings

In a mixing bowl, add the seasoning to the wings, then mix it up so that the seasoning can evenly coat the wings.

Place your wings in your dual air fryer. Put half the wings on one side and the rest on the other side.

If you do not have a dual air fryer, then you may have to cook the wings in two separate batches, depending on how big your air fryer is.
