I am excited to share this blue lemonade bourbon spritz recipe. So, what are we waiting for? Let me the blue lemonade bourbon spritzer recipe.
Why I am Excited
My excitement comes from a few reasons. For one, I am always excited to make a drink that will get me drunk. Furthermore, there is no reason for me to hide that fact.
Another reason is that this drink looks gorgeous. I could not tell you the exact blue that is, but just know that blue combined with those lemon slices is beautiful.
Also, I have been drinking a lot of bourbon lately, so I think it is pretty cool to make drink recipes using bourbon.
Now, I can’t forget the most important reason for my excitement. The blue lemonade bourbon spritz recipe is delicious.
Drinking This Blue Lemonade Bourbon Spritz Recipe
I have made many recipes using blue lemonade as the primary ingredient. Moreover, if you had ever tasted blue lemonade before, then you would understand.
Outside the blue lemonade, the bourbon is doing great things for my taste buds, but why is bourbon so good?
Bourbon is a type of whiskey that is made from corn, rye, and barley, does contribute to the goodness of bourbon?
What about the fact that it is distilled to no more than 160 proof and aged in new oak barrels?
Maybe the reasoning does not matter because I will drink my bourbon regardless.
Add Some Spritz To It
As I type these words up, I come to the realization that whenever I try new things and like them, I just throw them all together.
Furthermore, if my experiment comes out well, then I will turn that experiment into a recipe.
Blue lemonade and bourbon are good, but you will take your drink to another level when you turn the drink into a spritzer.
So, what is a spritzer? A spritzer is a drink that is made by combining wine and club soda. It is typically served in a tall glass with ice.
Additionally, I was told by a friend that the spritzer was invented in the late 1800s by an Italian bartender named Raimondo Capo, who was working at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan.
Just an FYI, this friend was drunk, so take this fun fact with a grain of salt. Oh, and the story gets better.
He created it for a woman who wanted something less alcoholic than wine but more alcoholic than water. I do not know if the woman enjoyed the drink, but a fake story or not, I sure like this drink.
That is why I had to make the blue lemonade bourbon spritz recipe. For the record, I do not have wine in this recipe. The drink is delicious all the same.
What Is Blue Lemonade Flavor?
Blue lemonade gets its flavor from these ingredients. Blueberries, blackberries, blue raspberries, and lemon. Combine the juices from all those ingredients, and now you have blue lemonade.
Granted, those more than likely will not be the only ingredients used for this beverage. You will also have sugar, and many other ingredients.
What Are The Benefits Of Blue Lemonade?
With blue lemonade being made with berries and lemons, there are a substantial number of health benefits linked to the beverage.
One of them is that the drink has plenty of antioxidants, protein, minerals, and vitamins.
Also, blue lemonade can increase your metabolic functionality. I do not know about you all, but this gives me even more reasons to make this blue lemonade bourbon spritzer recipe.
Is All Bourbon A Whiskey?
Bourbon is a type of whiskey, but let me break that down for a second.
To further explain, bourbon by default is whiskey. On the other hand, there are many different types of whiskey. Thus, not all bourbons are whiskeys.
