The Captain Jack Sparrow Cocktail Recipe Has Arrived

Have you ever been in a situation where you are not quite sure what to do? I know I have, on multiple occasions.

Oftentimes, these situations feel like there is not much that you can do. Maybe this is just me, but sometimes I ask myself what would this person do in this situation.

Sometimes I think of someone who is a part of my life. Other times I think of a celebrity who I might admire. In the same fashion, I may just think of a fictional character.

Thinking of what Jack Sparrow would do in a given situation may be weird to some, but the way I see it, he is a charismatic individual who can get out of any situation unscathed.

With that being said, it was only right that I created this Captain Jack Sparrow cocktail recipe. Furthermore, this recipe embodies the pure essence of Jack Sparrow.

After a few sips of this cocktail, you may be just as witty and hilarious as he is.

Who Is The Real Jack Sparrow?

Here is a disclaimer for you all. This information I got about the “real Jack Sparrow” came straight out of Google, so do what you want with this information.

Apparently, the person who inspired Captain Jack Sparrow is a man named John Ward. John Ward had a flamboyant vibe about him just like Jack Sparrow. Also, John Ward’s nickname was Sparrow, just like our captain.

Additionally, if he is really the man that inspired this iconic character, then I will have to give him credit because without him there would not be a Jack Sparrow.

Furthermore, if there is not a Jack Sparrow, then there would not be a Captain Jack Sparrow cocktail recipe.

What Is Considered A Dark Rum?

Dark rum is an interesting beverage that is nice to sip on from time to time. So, what is considered to be a dark rum, though?

Well, before we answer that question, let’s break down what rum is. Rum is a distilled liquor that is created using sugarcane and products alike.

You can actually make your own rum with sugar, molasses, and hydrated yeast. Now, we discussed what rum is, so it is time to pivot that discussion toward dark rum.

Dark rum is borderline self-explanatory – it is a rum with a dark brown hue to it. The dark rum gets its hue from the aging process. To be more specific, during this process, the rum is aged in wooden barrels.

Furthermore, the hue is a direct effect of the rum aging in the wooden barrels.

Using dark rum is what gives the Captain Jack Sparrow cocktail recipe its dark and bold appearance.

Is Dark Rum The Same As Spiced?

Spiced rum and dark rum have obvious similarities. They are both a type of rum. The hues of both rums are dark. Also, they are both great for getting you drunk.

Also, I would like to add that even though the Captain Jack Sparrow cocktail recipe uses dark rum, if you decide to use spiced rum you will still have a delicious drink.

If you think about it, that is another thing that dark rum and spiced rum have in common.

With these similarities, it is still safe to say that these drinks are not the same thing. Unlike dark rum, spiced rum has additives to enhance its flavor.

Moreover, spiced rum contains spices that other rums do not have. These spices are literally putting the “spice” in spiced rum. Furthermore, these spices include allspice, star anise, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc.
