Just saying “chipotle peanut butter sweet bacon burger recipe” sounds like a mouthful, and guess what? It is!

Crazy Burgers On Social Media

My explore page is full of the craziest foods you have ever laid eyes on. To some people, they may see it and think the chef was doing too much. On the contrary, I am trying to figure out how I can eat that food.

Every time I am on social media, I turn into MikeCakez. “Grab me that burger”. “But sir, you are on a diet”. “I said, grab me that burger”.

This is why social media is dangerous. With how the algorithm is set up, you will be addicted to it. However, that is a story for another day.

This Inspired The Chipotle Peanut Butter Sweet Bacon Burger Recipe

As mentioned before, I come across a lot of craziness, burgers to be specific. I always see burgers that I want to eat, but the restaurant that makes them are incredibly far away from me.

Just seeing all those unique burgers inspired me to think more outside the box when I am cooking, but one particular burger immediately caught my attention.

This burger looked so good, but it had peanut butter on it. Now, I am no stranger to peanut butter, so I thought that was interesting.

I already have a peanut butter wing recipe, so why not try to make a peanut butter burger recipe? The only problem I had with their burger was that it had pickles and tomatoes on it. Personally, I do not want that on a peanut butter burger.

This gives me more of an incentive to make my own.

Describing The Chipotle Peanut Butter Sweet Bacon Burger Recipe

The chipotle peanut butter bacon sauce actually reminds me of bacon jam due to the sweetness that derives from the peanut butter and brown sugar.

All the sweetness is balanced by the flavor that is brought by the chipotle chiles and adobo sauce. Also, the hot sauce gives the mixture a sweet heat flavor.

Last, but certainly not least, the bacon brings everything together.

Then, you have the burger. The burger patties are perfectly seasoned, the cheese is melted, and the buns are toasted. Additionally, the bacon that will be in the burger is cooked with brown sugar.

This method of cooking the bacon takes the burger to a whole new level. Also, when you add the chipotle peanut butter bacon sauce to the burger, words can’t even describe the goodness it does to your mouth.

It is something about a sweet and spicy peanut butter sauce that goes so well with meat, which is why the chipotle peanut butter bacon sauce is so compatible with the rest of the ingredients.

Making The Chipotle Peanut Butter Bacon Sauce Recipe

Serving Size: 1

  • Chipotle Peanut Butter Bacon Sauce (More than likely, you will not use all the sauce for one burger, and you will need to store the rest)
    • 7 1/2 Oz Chipotle Chiles With Adobo Sauce
    • 4 Slices Bacon
    • 1 Garlic Clove
    • 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
    • 1 Cup Peanut Butter
    • 1/4 Cup Hot Sauce
  • Chipotle Peanut Butter Sweet Bacon Burger
    • 8 Oz Ground Beef (80% Lean, 20% fat)
    • 1 Whole Onion
    • 1/2 Tsp Salt
    • 1 Hamburger Bun
    • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
    • 4 Slices Bacon
    • 2 Tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
    • 1/2 Cup Mexican Blended Cheese
  • Equipment
    • Skillet
    • Lid
    • Spatula
    • Stove Top
    • Food Processor
    • Mason Jar

Cooking The Bacon

Heat up your skillet on medium heat for 5 minutes. Once the skillet is hot, put in your bacon. Cook the bacon for 7 minutes, then flip the bacon and cook for another 7 minutes.

Put It All In The Food Processor

Place all the chipotle peanut butter bacon sauce ingredients, including the 4 slices of cooked bacon and the bacon grease, into the food processor. Thoroughly blend the ingredients together.

Take the sauce out of the food processor and put it to the side.

Cook More Bacon

Place 4 pieces of bacon into your skillet, then sprinkle 2 tbsp of brown sugar over the bacon. Cook the bacon on medium-low heat. To put things in perspective, if your stove top goes from 1 to 10, then the stove top should be at 4.

Cook the sweet bacon for 5 minutes, then flip the bacon and cook for another 5 minutes. Gently stir the bacon frequently so that the dark brown sugar does not overcook. The darker the dark brown sugar, the more bitter the bacon will be.

Take the bacon out of the skillet, then place the onions in the skillet with the bacon grease and remaining dark brown sugar still in the skillet.

Cooking The Onions

Cook the onions to a medium-low temperature for 10 minutes, and stir frequently. Once the onions are done, remove them from the skillet

Cooking The Burger Patties

With the ground beef, form two to three balls. Once the balls are in form, put them in the skillet and smash them down. Sprinkle the salt and black pepper on top of your patties and let them cook for 4-5 minutes on medium-low heat.

Flip the patties over, and add your Mexican blended cheese on top of the beef patties. Put a lid on top of the skillet, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

Remove the lid, and then remove the patties from the skillet.

Toasting The Hamburger Buns

At this point, your skillet will be full of grease. Remove the majority of the grease from the skillet. You want just enough grease to where the grease is covering the skillet.

Have the flat side of the bun on the surface of the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat or until the bottom is golden brown.

Remove the buns and assemble the burger.

Assembling The Burger

There is no particular way to put the burger together, but what I like to do is put the sauce on my buns and in between my beef patties.

Also, I make sure not to overdo putting the sauce on the buns so that my buns do not become soggy. However, I do go crazy with the sauce in between my beef patties.

The Chipotle Peanut Butter Sweet Bacon Burger Recipe Is Craziness In Burger Form

The thought of eating a burger with peanut butter on it is crazy, so you cannot tell me that you had a burger crazier than this chipotle peanut butter sweet bacon burger.
