French toast is a top-tier breakfast dish, but making the cinnamon French toast banana bread recipe will change how you make French toast.
My First Time Making French Toast
This may come as a surprise, but I have not always been Jeremy the master chef.
At one point I was a terrible cook. For your information, I am a great cook now, but the master chef part is a joke.
I do not want people to think I am a master chef since it is not true, however, if I can become one during my lifetime, then that would be amazing.
Back to the point, I was just a kid who was too impatient to wait on his parents to make breakfast, so I decided to make French toast.
By the way, this is the first meal that I made myself that should not include a microwave. Furthermore, the key phrase is “should not include a microwave”.
You Have To Start Somewhere
I should have used a stovetop, but instead, I used the microwave, and that French toast came out terrible. What made the meal even worse is that I had diarrhea afterward.
Talk about a first-time cooking experience. Thankfully, I did not let this moment stop me from cooking, and eventually I was able to successfully cook some good French toast.
Also, you can imagine that this is what led to the making of the cinnamon French toast banana bread recipe.
Additionally, when I made that French toast I used white bread, which is commonly used for this dish. I did not have the skills to be experimental back then, but now I am creative as ever.
What Type Of Bread Is Best For French Toast?
This is my opinion, but I do not think any particular bread is best for making French toast.
The reason for this is that every bread brings an element that will change the taste of the French depending on the type of bread.
For example, your French toast will not taste the same using white bread versus using banana bread.
Furthermore, if you have a taste for bananas, then you would want to use banana bread over white bread and any other bread that you can think of.
This is one of the reasons that the world deserves to have this cinnamon French toast banana bread recipe.
Why Does My French Toast Turn Out Soggy?
If your French toast is coming out soggy, then more than likely the bread that you are using is too thin. Let me give you some advice.
If you are using bread from the grocery store, then that is the perfect size to make French toast. You do not have to alter the already sliced bread.
For this cinnamon French toast banana bread recipe, the banana bread is made from scratch. With that being said, you will slice the bread to be the same size as bread in the grocery store.
If you prefer for the bread to be a little thicker, then that is okay.
