What is better than a hamburger? A cheese burger. What is better than that? Double cheese burger patties between some hamburger buns.
Additionally, if you have some toasted buns, that will take your burger to the next level.
Double Cheese Burger Patties Or Nothing
I have always been a fan of double cheese burger patties between two hamburger buns.
Even as a kid, I always knew that more meat was better for my taste buds.
Now granted, more meat being better for my taste buds does not mean that more meat was better for my health, but I did not care about my health as a kid as I do now.
Back then, the more meat on the plate, the better the food was. Even to this day, I love meat. Sorry, PETA.
No Crispy Bacon In Double Cheese Burger?
As much as I love crispy bacon on my burgers, a double cheese burger does not have bacon on it because if it did, then the hamburger would not be a double cheese burger.
Instead, you would have a double bacon cheese burger, which is delicious.
Hamburger Patties Versus Cheese Burger Patties
There is not much to it. One patty has cheese and one does not. Now, for my preference, I am going with the cheese burger patties every single time.
Hamburger Buns Turn Toasted Buns
This is subjective, but I am going to go ahead and say it. Hamburger buns are better toasted.
Furthermore, the buns are cool like it is, but toasting them takes it to a different level.
Why Is It Called Hamburger?
Hamburgers get their name from a town called Hamburg, Germany.
The name came from sailors bringing up the idea of raw shredded beef. This comes after trading with the Baltic provinces of Russia.
What Are The Ingredients For Hamburgers?
The ingredients to make a hamburger or simple. All you need is ground meat and a hamburger bun.
To eat this delicious sandwich with double cheese burger patties, just add cheese to your burger.

How Do You Make The Perfect Double Cheese Burger Patties?
Add salt and black pepper to your ground meat. Next, make a ball of the patty, then flatten it out.
The thinner you want your patties, the more you should flatten them out.
While the patties are cooking, add the cheese and cook until the cheese melt. Furthermore, you now have the perfect cheese burger patties.

Prepare The Burger Patties
Put the ground beef in a mixing bowl and add the salt and black pepper. After you season your meat, make 4 burger patties.
Cooking The Burger Patties
Add your burger patties to the skillet. Cook the patties for 5 minutes on medium heat, then flip the patties over.
Add your sliced cheese and cook for 5 more minutes.
If you want your cheese to melt real good, then put a lid/cover over your skillet.
The number of patties you can cook at once will depend on the size of the skillet.
Toasting The Bread In A Skillet For The Double Cheese Burger
Remove the oil from the skillet until you have about 2 teaspoons of it left, and add the buns.
The reason you want to do this is that too much oil will make the bread soggy.
Put the flat side of the bun on the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the bread is cooked as desired.
The amount of bread you can cook at once will depend on the size of the skillet.
You Have A Bun In The Oven
If you prefer, you can cook the buns in the oven instead of in a skillet.
However, ensure the oven is preheated at 400 degrees.
When the oven is ready, put the bread on a cookie sheet and cook for 2 minutes with the inside of the bun facing down.
If you don’t want to dirty up your cookie sheet, simply use foil.
Before I put my buns in the oven, I like to use a little oil to keep the buns soft while cooking.
Assemble The Double Cheese Burger
Now that everything is ready, put the burger together, and now you can eat! If you want to make this recipe with a grill, the instructions are provided below.
Making Your Double Cheese Burgers On The Grill
The first thing you will do is put your ground meat in a mixing bowl and add salt and black pepper.
While you are doing this, make sure that your grill is heating up.
After you season your meat, form 4 burger patties.
Cooking The Burger Patties
Once the grill is heated up, put the patties on the grill and let them cook for 4 minutes.
Just an FYI, you probably will only be able to cook two patties at a time, but that may vary depending on the size of your grill.
After 4 minutes, add the American sliced cheese to your patties and let it cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
I Don’t Want None Unless You Got Buns
The last thing you need to cook is buns. Inside grills are designed to catch the grease that comes out of whatever you are cooking.
I like to brush that grease over the buns, but I make sure that I don’t overdo it because I don’t want my bread to be soggy.
Let the buns cook for 30 seconds, but try not to mush your buns with the top of the grill.
After 30 seconds, raise the top of the grill so that only the flat side of the bun is cooking.
At that point, let the bun cook for another 30 seconds.
Assemble The Double Cheese Burger
Now that everything is ready, assemble the double cheeseburger together and enjoy.
