Potato potahto, or at least that would be the case with just any old potatoes. However, dealing with this easy curry potatoes recipe, you will learn quickly that these are not your average potatoes.

Me, Myself, And Potatoes

I have a love-like relationship with potatoes. You heard right, I said “love-like” instead of “love-hate”.

The reason is that there are plenty of times when I fell in love with eating potatoes, but there are also plenty of times when potatoes were an okay option.

Whether the potatoes were a hit or a miss, I never had potatoes that I hated.

This is why me saying I have a love-hate relationship with potatoes would be a lie.

Now that we got that out the way, let us talk about the potato recipes that I simply adore.

First, we have to talk about the goat of potato recipes, and that is french fries. FYI, for those who do not know what the goat stands for, it is the greatest of all time.

Furthermore, multiple potato recipes are incredible. You have hash browns, mashed potatoes cooked with butter, loaded baked potato, etc.

All these recipes are great, but today we are going to talk about an easy curry potatoes recipe that will destroy the competition.

Full Of Flavor Easy Curry Potatoes Recipe

I would not call myself the biggest fan of yellow curry or curry in general, but curry dishes cooked right are mind-blowing!

Thankfully, this easy curry potatoes recipe fit that category and I could not be any happier.

One of my dilemmas with eating potatoes is that they sometimes taste bland.

However, with curry potatoes, that is not something you need to worry about.

The curry mixed with other flavorful seasoning makes this a savory sensation that is worth eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

While you are at it, eat it for brunch and as a snack as well. Throw some sugar on it and eat it as a dessert if you want to.

Okay, I may have gone too far with the dessert because sugar over these curry potatoes may not be the best idea, but if you are looking for some desserts, then try these recipes provided below.

Curry Potatoes And Chicken Thighs

Curry potatoes and chicken thighs are the dynamic duos that we need in our lives.

By itself, curry potatoes are a force to be reckoned with, but with this stewed chicken thighs recipe, it is hard to think of a combination that can beat this.

Which Potato Is Best For Curry?

There are all kinds of potatoes. You have russet potatoes, red potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, etc. Oh, and you can’t forget about sweet potatoes.

By the way, if you have a taste for sweet potatoes, then check out this sweet potato fries recipe.

In my experience making curry potatoes, I prefer to use russet potatoes. My preference is, maybe because I grew up on russet potatoes.

Personally, I enjoy the taste of them, but hey, these things are a mystery when the subconscious is involved.

Should You Peel Potatoes For Curry?

For the easy curry potatoes recipe, the potatoes need to be peeled. With that being said, if you are cooking curry potatoes in general, the potatoes being peeled or not is up to you.

Can I Leave The Skin On Potatoes?

Although we will be using peeled potatoes for this recipe, in general, yes, you can leave the skin on the potatoes. However, if you do decide to leave the skin on, make sure you wash the potatoes first since they tend to be a bit on the dirty side.

Since we are talking about potato skins, they are a whole meal in itself. After peeling the skin off the potatoes, do not throw them away.

Instead, season them, cook them up, and enjoy. Throw in some crispy bacon and some cheese, then you really have a side dish that will be perfect for any get-together.

What Herbs Do You Put In Curry?

The herbs that are used for curry will depend on the dish that is being made. For instance, some curry recipes require turmeric, but for this recipe, that ingredient is not needed.

The seasoning/herbs used for this recipe other than the curry powder are chicken bouillon powder, black pepper, and salt which is pretty simple.

On the contrary, the curry chicken recipe uses more than 3 seasonings.

Again, minus the curry powder, the recipe uses paprika, chili powder, chicken bouillon, black pepper, salt, diced garlic cloves, and onions.

Last, but certainly not least, the recipe uses red crushed pepper flakes to spice everything up.

As long-winded as this may be, the point I am trying to make is that you can use whatever herb you want to use for your curry dish.

How Do I Make Curry Better?

Better tasting curry is easy to make. Simply add salt and black pepper to the curry.

Once you get more comfortable, then you can add more seasoning, or you can just follow the instructions below for this easy curry potatoes recipe.

It will not steer you wrong!

Is The Easy Curry Potatoes Recipe Spicy?

No, the easy curry potatoes recipe is not spicy. However, if you want to make the recipe spicy, just add either red crushed pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.

Both are spicy, and they both go great with curry.
