Let go of my waffles! “Isn’t that phrase supposed to rhyme?” It does, but that brand is not paying me, and instead of paying for some already made waffles, let us make some waffles with this easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe.

Breakfast Growing Up

My mom was always done her thing when breakfast time came around. As a kid, I always look forward to eating breakfast, especially on the weekend.

Furthermore, the weekends were when my mom really threw down in the kitchen. She worked during the weekdays, so this makes sense.

I am grateful for all the delicious food that she cooked, but it would have been nice if she had the easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe to use.

Growing up, if I wanted waffles, I would have to eat the frozen waffles from the store. Do not get me wrong, those waffles did what they were supposed to do.

I am an adult now, and I would still buy those waffles if I needed to.

On the contrary, frozen waffles are not the best 1st impression, so I did not realize how good waffles were until we ate waffles at a restaurant.

Fast-forward to now, I created my own waffles recipe, and it is delicious.

Waffles Are Best From Scratch

Homemade waffles are divine. In fact, if somebody was to tell me that they do not like waffles, I am going to assume that the only waffles they ate were store-bought waffles.

This easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe tastes great during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Also, since brunch is just breakfast and lunch combined, waffles are great for that too.

Just imagine waffles with a few tasty mimosas, some shrimp and steak, and a breakfast sandwich. My mouth-watering thinking about that right now.

Also, imagine that you are enjoying all that food in an incredible environment with a lovely atmosphere, that sounds like you are living the life.

If you decide to create your own brunch event, then you can not go wrong if you use the easy fluffy buttermilk waffles recipe.

What Is The Secret To Fluffy Waffles?

The secret ingredients for creating the fluffiest waffles are baking powder and baking soda.

The reason for this is that baking soda and baking powder help the waffles with rising, giving the waffles that fluffiness that we all love to eat.

Also, baking powder and baking soda will help with browning the waffles. Having this information makes me want to use the easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe even more.

What Champagne Is Good For Orange Juice Mimosas?

You have probably seen this header and thought to yourself, “this is random.” Why are we talking about mimosas when this blog is about the easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe?

As mentioned before, waffles are great for brunches, and what would make that brunch even greater are mimosas.

Now, when it comes down to picking the best champagne for your mimosa, pickiness is not needed.

As long as the champagne is balanced out with the rest of the ingredients, then your drink will come out perfect.

Can You Substitute Water For Buttermilk In Waffles

You can’t switch water for buttermilk in waffles for the same reason why you can’t substitute milk for buttermilk in waffles, or anything else that is not acidic.

Buttermilk is substantially acidic, and water does not have any type of acid. This reason is why water would not be good for substituting buttermilk.

Also, here is a fun fact. The easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe does not use buttermilk and water.

Is Waffle And Pancake Batter The Same?

My momma may not have made any waffles for me growing up, but she should know how to make some remarkable pancakes.

Out of everything she cooked for me back then, the pancakes felt special in my belly. The reason for that could be the fact that she did not make pancakes often. Plus, pancakes in general are delicious.

After a certain point, I had a thought. “If she put the pancake batter into a waffle maker, will we be eating some homemade waffles?”

It would seem to be that simple, but it is not, and I would not be surprised if my momma already knew that.

Waffle batter and pancake batter have a similar foundation, but there are differences to separate the two outside the appearance.

Pancake batter has fewer eggs, sugar, and butter than waffle batter. This is the reason why waffle batter is richer and has a higher fat content than pancake waffle.

The moral of the story is that the easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe will not taste like pancakes, but those waffles will be delicious.

Can I Substitute Buttermilk For Milk?

Let me give you a simple answer to this, no. The not so simple answer is that buttermilk has an acidity level that is far beyond what milk contains.

This is what prevents milk from being a reasonable substitute for buttermilk. For most recipes that use buttermilk, the best substitute for buttermilk would have to be an ingredient that is acidic.

So, why does the easy homemade fluffy waffles recipe uses evaporated milk and not buttermilk? The answer to that is simple. This recipe is not making any buttermilk waffles.
