My Cooking Weakness

I have a confession to make. I am not the best when it comes to fried foods. Don’t get me wrong, my food frying skills are decent, but there is room for improvement.

Plus, I got to watch this figure of mine, so I don’t cook fried foods too often.

When I do have a taste for fried hot wings, I look for the best hot wings near me. Unfortunately, the best hot wings near me are a bit out of my budget.

If you don’t make or buy fried hot wings, then what do you do? Make some baked buffalo chicken wings!

If I am baking anything with a bone, I got to make sure that the meat is falling off the bone. That is what makes these “fall off the bone baked chicken wings”.

The Process

Initially, when I was creating this recipe, I asked myself these questions:

  1. How long does it take for the chicken to fall off the bone?
  2. At what temperature does chicken fall off the bone?
  3. Should I cover my chicken wings when baking?

I wanted to do everything right to make sure that I have the best-baked chicken wings known to mankind. Now if you are trying to achieve this goal then I know you may have those questions as well.

The Answers To Aid In Making Fall Off The Bone Baked Chicken Wings

To answer the first question, the amount of time it takes for chicken wings to fall off the bone varies on the temperature of the oven.

This also leads to answering the second question concerning the temperature of the oven. To have your chicken wings fall off the bone, you will put the oven at a low temperature and keep the wings in the oven for a couple of hours.

The other option is to use a high temperature, which will shorten the length of time you need to cook the wings. The most important thing is to cover your wings.

When the wings are covered, the steam cooks the wings, which helps the meat fall off the bone. Therefore, in order to get the best results, you need to cover your chicken wings when you bake them.

Why Baked Over Fried Hot Wings

Are chicken wings terrible for you? Let’s keep it real with ourselves. Wings are not the healthiest foods in the world because wings mainly consisting of fat and skin make them a bit on the unhealthy side.

No, wings are not like avocados and salmon, which consist of healthy fats. However, if you want a healthier alternative from fried wings, then bake wings will be your go-to recipe.

From a taste perspective, are wings better fried or baked? That is really up to your preference. Me personally, I love both of them!

Buffalo Chicken Wings And Keto

Buffalo chicken wings and keto is closer related than you may think. In fact, good news, keto lovers. This fall off the bone baked chicken wings recipe is keto-friendly. But are Buffalo wings keto for real though?

Yes, they are, as long as you are using keto-friendly ingredients. The wings themselves are low in carbs and high in fat, so they are keto-friendly as well.

Again, wings are still not the healthiest option, keto-friendly or not. If you are trying to eat healthily, then I recommend eating chicken wings as a cheat meal.

Making The Fall-Off The Bone Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe

  • Chicken Wings
    • 3 pounds of bone-in wings
    • 1 cup of Hot Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon of Sriracha
  • Equipment
    • Cookie Sheet
    • Mixing Bowl
    • Mixing Spoon Or Spatula (Optional)
    • Knife (Used To Clean Chicken Wings)
    • Aluminum Foil
    • Oven

Prepare The Chicken Wings

The recipe for the fall off the bone baked buffalo chicken wings is quite simple. First, you want to clean your chicken wings. While you are doing this, put the oven on 450 degrees.

Next, put your wings in a mixing bowl and add the Louisiana Hot Sauce and the Sriracha. Once everything is on the chicken wings, use your spoon or spatula to mix the sauce with the chicken wings.

This will have all the chicken wings coated evenly. If you don’t have a spoon or spatula, you can use your hands, but cooking will be a lot messier.

Putting The Chicken Wings In The Oven

Place wings in aluminum foil, which will be on top of a cookie sheet. Make sure the foil is covering up the wings. I would also recommend using multiple sheets of foil to make sure that none of the sauce comes out.

By now, the oven should be ready to go. Cook the wings for an hour and 30 minutes. When you take the wings out, let them cool off for about 10 minutes.

Once the wings have cooled off, you can dig in and put your mouth around those succulent wings. You will be amazed by how easy those wings fall off the bones.

The best thing about it is that you will be saving a lot of money because wings can be pricey. Your taste buds may thank you for this fall off the bone Buffalo wings recipe, but your wallet will be thanking you even more.

Trying Something Different

There is nothing wrong with liking your wings fried, dyed, and laid to the side (don’t mind the corniness). But if you have never had baked buffalo chicken wings before, then you should give them a shot.

You may like them even better than fried hot wings. Get your hot sauce ready because things are going to get spicy around here!
