I love me some chicken wings and pizza. So, why not combine the two? Introducing the fall-off-the-bone chicken wing pizza recipe.
Chicken Wings And Pizza
I love me some pizza, and I love me some chicken wings. I just realized that I said this already in the first sentence. The food is so good, why not say it again?
Honestly, I do not know what I would do without those two delicious foods. Both chicken wings and pizza are in my top three favorite foods of all time, and neither one of them is number three.
My love for pizza goes all the way back to my childhood.
Every Thursday I would eat at a pizzeria near me. When my brother was working at a pizza spot, that was all we ate in my household.
Looking back, that was not the healthiest lifestyle for a kid, but dang it, we had a good time stuffing our faces with pizza.
The only thing that was missing was chicken wings. Furthermore, I do not know why my dad did not buy chicken wings to go with the pizza.
Moreover, I love pizza so much, that I did not need chicken wings to eat it.
The Small Town Struggle
On the contrary, the pizza restaurants we ate pizza at were limited because when you live in a small town, your options for pizza are limited.
You can imagine this dilemma, I did not eat the best pizza out there. On the flip side, my taste for pizza was at a level where that did not even matter. I was not a picky eater, especially for pizza.
As long as there was a pizza crust with some sauce, meat, and cheese, I was going to eat it. Truth be told, I do not even need a crust, and I was still going to eat the pizza.
In fact, crustless pizza is one of the best keto-friendly dishes you will ever eat.
Another incredible keto-friendly recipe is the fall-off-the-bone chicken wings pizza recipe.
When it comes to the topping on my pizza, I prefer to have as many toppings as possible, like a supreme pizza for example.
My favorite one-topping pizza was always a pepperoni pizza. That explains why this chicken wings and pizza recipe is full of pepperoni.
Fall-Off-The-Bone Creativity
The goal of this recipe was to be as creative as possible with two of my favorite foods of all time.
I always enjoyed some good chicken wings, but I did not fall in love with chicken wings until I had my mom’s lemon pepper wings.
She never made wings while I was growing up, but it is never too late to try some fantastic wings, am I right?
Also, this was the first time I was introduced to chicken wings that fall off the bone, which inspired me to make my own lemon pepper recipe.
After trying those wings, it made me into a chicken wing connoisseur, and I am open-minded about trying any wings. That is not including the ones you get from an energy drink.
This open-mindedness is what led to the fall-off-the-bone chicken wing pizza recipe.
The Chicken Wings And Pizza Process.
Initially, when I was creating this recipe, I asked myself these questions:
- How long does it take for the meat to fall off the bone?
- What temperature does chicken fall off the bone?
- Should I cover the food when baking?
I wanted to do everything right to make sure that I have the best chicken wings recipe ever. Furthermore, if you are trying to achieve this, then I know you may have asked those questions as well.
Fall-Off-The-Bone Chicken Wing Pizza Recipe Answers
To answer the first question, the amount of time it takes for chicken wings to fall off the bone varies on the temperature of the oven.
This also leads to answering the second question.
To have your chicken wings fall off the bone, you will put the oven at a low temperature and keep the wings in the oven for a couple of hours.
The other option is to use a high temperature, which will shorten the length of time you need to cook the wings.
This is the option that we will go with, having the oven at 450 degrees.
The most important thing is to cover your wings. When the wings are covered, the steam cooks the wings, which helps the wings get that fall off the bone effect.
Therefore, in order to get the best results, you need to cover your chicken wings when you bake them.
Why Baked Over Fried Hot Wings
Are chicken wings bad for you? Let’s keep it real. Wings are not the healthiest food.
Wings mainly consist of unhealthy fat and skin, which make them a bit on the unhealthy side.
No, wings are not like avocados and salmon, which consist of healthy fats. However, if you want a healthier alternative to fried chicken wings, then bake wings will be your best bet.
From a taste perspective, are wings better fried or baked? That is for you to decide. I love both of them! In fact, I have a fried chicken recipe that is utterly delicious.
Chicken Wings And Pizza Can Be Keto?
Chicken wings and keto are more related than you think. In fact, this fall-off-the-bone recipe is keto-friendly. But are
The chicken wings are low in carbs, the seasoning is low in carbs, and the pizza ingredients are low in carbs. That sounds pretty keto-friendly if you ask me.
