Best Chicken Pizza Ever

Chicken pizza has always been alright with me. I do not mind eating it occasionally, however, I can count on one hand the times I was impressed eating a chicken pizza.

There was this one place that had a pesto chicken pizza that was extraordinary, but that is about it.

On the contrary, things have changed now because this Italian garlic Parmesan chicken pizza recipe is a game-changer.

The Italian Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pizza Recipe Was Born

It is time, to be honest. I did not wake up one morning and say, “I want to make an Italian garlic Parmesan chicken pizza recipe”.

What happened was I wanted pizza but did not feel like spending the money to order from a pizzeria.

Also, I was not going to buy a cheap pizza because in that department you usually get what you pay for. In that case, I rather not get pizza at all.

So the next solution is making my own pizza. Normally, I would make a delicious pepperoni pizza, but I have been going strong without eating pork and beef.

Since my household is pork and beef-free, I had one other option, and that was chicken.

That is a lie. I had some canned tuna, but I did not feel like eating a tuna pizza that day, so chicken pizza it is.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Is Delicious

Initially, This Italian garlic Parmesan chicken pizza was made with the intentions of a normal chicken pizza.

Furthermore, after adding salt and black pepper to the chicken, I decided to add some Italian seasoning. Then, garlic powder sounded nice on the chicken.

Since this is for a pizza, why not throw in some red crushed pepper flakes? Moreover, I came up with a crazy idea.

Throw some Parmesan on that chicken. How is this going to come out? Well, we will cross that bridge when we get there.

For now, let us get crazy with this Italian garlic Parmesan chicken pizza.

  • 2 cups All-Purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Light Olive Oil (In Dough Mixture)
  • 1/4 tsp Light Olive Oil (During Kneading Process)
  • 1/4 tsp Light Olive Oil (After Letting Dough Rise)
  • 1 tsp White Sugar
  • 3/4 cups Water, Room Temperature

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Parchment Paper
  • Pizza Peel
  • Mixing Bowl with Lid
  • 12 Inch Cast Iron Skillet
  • Pot
  • Stand Mixer (Optional)
  • Bread Maker (Optional)
  • Cookie Sheet (Optional)
  • Rolling Pin (Optional)
  • Pizza Cutter (Optional)
  • Skillet
  • Mixing Spoon

Preparing The Dough

Mix all the ingredients for the dough, but only use 1 1/2 tbsp of light olive oil.

Knead the dough Until It’s smooth and is a round ball, and rub 1/4 tbsp of oil on the dough.

Using A Stand Mixer (Optional)

Put all the ingredients for the dough in your stand mixer, but only use 1 1/2 tbsp of light olive oil.

Let the stand mixer run at a medium speed until the dough starts to form into a ball.

Kneading The Dough Again

Place dough in a sealed container and let rest for 1 hour. After an hour, knead the dough into a round ball again, rub the dough with the rest of the oil, then place the pizza dough in a sealed container for another hour.

Preheat the oven with an iron grid inside at the highest oven temperature for 30 minutes. This is 550 degrees for most ovens.

Put the oven on high broil for 30 mins. Keep the oven on high broil for the pizza.

Using A Bread Maker For The Dough (Optional)

The first thing you would want to do is to put the wet ingredients into the bread maker. Next, add the dry ingredients and turn the bread maker on the dough cycle.

The mixture will be in the bread maker until the timer goes off.

Making The Pizza Sauce (Optional)

If you do not want to use pizza sauce from the store, then here is how to make it yourself.

Sauté onion in oil until light brown. Add the rest of the pizza sauce ingredients and cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat.

Cooking Your Chicken In The Air Fryer

Cut the chicken breast into small pieces, and add the seasoning. Once the chicken is seasoned, put it in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 6 minutes.

Adding Toppings To Italian Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pizza

Sprinkle some flour on a flat surface with parchment paper covering that surface and place the dough on the area with the flour. The flour will help prevent the dough from sticking to the surface.

Flatten the pizza dough into a round 10 – 12 inch pizza by using your fingertips.

I recommend using a rolling pin if you are creating a thin crust pizza, however, this method will get rid of the air in the dough. This is optional.

Add the tomato sauce, then add your cheese and air fryer chicken to the prepared pizza dough.

Putting The Chicken Pizza In The Oven

Put the pizza in the oven on top of the cast-iron skillet for 4-5 minutes. Make sure that the parchment paper is still under the pizza.

The oven will stay on high broil until the pizza is ready. Also, make sure to use the pizza peel so that you do not burn yourself.

Take the pizza out of the oven and cut the pizza.

If You Are Using A Cookie Sheet Instead Of A Cast Iron Skillet (Optional)

Disclaimer: The pizza will not come out the same using the cookie sheet method, but the pizza will be delicious all the same.

The oven will preheat at 450 degrees. After preheating, put the pizza inside and let it cook for 10 minutes.

I love chicken and I love pizza, so why wouldn’t I make this masterpiece?
