Making delicious vegetables may not always be convenient, but that will change with this easy oven-baked asparagus recipe.

Creating This Easy Oven Baked Asparagus

I can admit, at first I was not the biggest fan of asparagus. Let me rephrase that. I was not a fan of asparagus at all, but I always felt like asparagus had the potential to be good.

The reason why I felt this way is that every time I had asparagus, it was tough and chewy.

While eating the asparagus, I told myself, “I do not think asparagus is supposed to be like this.” Sure enough, I was right.

Once I had asparagus done right, it was an incredible experience. The experience was so incredible that I went and made this easy oven-baked asparagus recipe.

So, the moral of the story is that if the asparagus is chewy, then the cooking process was screwy.

Can Asparagus Be Baked

Yes, asparagus can be baked. If it couldn’t, then this easy oven-baked asparagus recipe would not exist.

How To Bake Asparagus

To bake your asparagus, you can put them in an easy bake oven, and let it sit there until something happens. If you are lucky, the asparagus may magically cook itself.

If you do not like that route, then you can always bake your asparagus in the oven. In fact, this is the way that I recommend for you to bake the asparagus.

Should You Soak Asparagus Before Cooking?

Soaking your asparagus is one of those things that you can do, however, I do not think it is necessary in order to get the best results.

How Long To Bake Asparagus

For the easy oven-baked asparagus recipe, you will need to bake the asparagus for 20 to 25 minutes. Moreover, this will vary based on the temperature you are cooking the asparagus.

Is It Better To Steam Or Roast Asparagus?

Steam vegetables taste so bland to me. I prefer my veggies to be roasted. It tastes better, the textile is better, and the roasted overall is better than the stem.

On the contrary, add the right seasoning to the asparagus, and it will be good regardless of how you cook it.

What Part Of Asparagus Do You Not Eat?

You can almost eat everything that the asparagus has to offer. Remember, the keyword is “almost”. The only part of the asparagus that is not edible is the woody stem that is located towards the bottom.

If your asparagus has this, gently bend the asparagus until the asparagus snap. Next, the woody stem will break off from the asparagus.

How Long To Bake Asparagus At 400

For this easy oven-baked asparagus recipe, we will cook it at 450 degrees. This will bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

So, with the information that I just gave you, let you know that you will have to cook the asparagus for longer than 20-25 minutes if you are cooking at a temperature under 450 degrees.

If I had to guess how long it would take asparagus to bake at 400 degrees, I would say it would need to cook for about 30 minutes.

What Is The Healthiest Way To Eat Asparagus?

Asparagus is full of so much nutrition, that eating this vegetable will be healthy regardless of how you cook it.

There is no right or wrong way to eat asparagus in a healthy manner. This leads to the question of what is the best way to enjoy your asparagus.

I prefer to cook my asparagus using the easy oven-baked asparagus recipe. If you do not want to cook your asparagus, then that is okay.
