Pizza is so good, yet it is so much work to make from scratch. However, that all changes when you microwave pizza in a mug. Microwaving pepperoni pizza is amazing as a pizza mug recipe. For all my pepperoni lovers, let’s microwave pepperoni pizza!

Microwave Pepperoni Pizza In A Mug

Pizza in a mug reminds me of a crustless pizza wrap with one exception. This pizza mug recipe has a crust, it is hidden, but it is there nonetheless.

The thought of microwaving pepperoni pizza amazes me. This is because it is impressive how innovative a broke college student will become to eat the food that they like.

Also, it helps that I love pizza, so I’m going to figure out how to eat pizza one way or another.

College Kid Microwaving Pepperoni Pizza

College is a wild place. It is the only place where you can party on a budget while getting an education.

With that being said, do not get too hung up on the “budget” because college is expensive. That is probably why most of the students are broke in the first place.

Being broke means being limited to eating out, and as a college student, you will probably not have the best kitchen to work with.

Keeping these things in mind, your microwave and a mug will become your best friend.

In that mug, I created an easy pizza dough that was soft and fluffy. On the contrary, making a pizza dough recipe was not enough.

Furthermore, I purchased some thick and rich pizza sauce from the grocery store. An easy homemade pizza sauce recipe might have been better, but as a college kid, I was not picky with the pizza sauce.

Last, but not least, I used some mozzarella and pepperoni to make a delicious pepperoni lover microwave pizza in a mug.

Even in a microwave, who would have thought that all you need is a one-topping pizza for your taste buds to reach happiness. With this pizza mug recipe, I do not need to search for a pizzeria near me or go to any pizza restaurant for that matter.

Can You Make A One-Topping Pizza In The Microwave?

Yes, you can make a one-topping pizza in the microwave. In fact, you can make a pizza in the microwave with multiple toppings.

The best way to make a pizza in the microwave is by using a mug. Another good way to make pizza in the microwave is by making it without the dough.

All you need is some cheese, your toppings, a plate, and a microwave. If you want to get a version of the crustless pizza without the microwave, then check this keto pepperoni pizza wrap recipe out.

Also, when you are microwaving pepperoni pizza in a mug, you do not have to adjust the power level. Keep the power level normal for the best results.

Now, in my experience cooking frozen pizza in the microwave, I received the best results by adjusting the power level to 5 and cooking the frozen pizza for about 5 to 6 minutes.

Keep in mind, with different frozen pizzas come different results, meaning this method may not work with all frozen pizzas.

How Do You Make Pizza Dough In The Microwave?

You will need a mug or bowl to make pizza dough in the microwave. The ingredients you will need are flour, baking powder, and oil. Also, you will need water, however, milk will work as well.

Once all the ingredients are together, mix them until a dough is formed. If it looks like there is not enough dough, do not worry about it. With the baking soda, the dough will rise while it is cooking in the microwave.

The dough will cook for 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the amount of flour and the type of flour being used. During the cooking period, you do not have to adjust the power level of the microwave.

How Long Should I Microwave Pepperoni Pizza?

You should microwave pepperoni pizza for about 2 to 3 minutes. This time will depend on the amount of flour and the type of flour being used, and possibly other ingredients.

Can We Use Any Mug In The Microwave?

For the most part, you should not have a problem using a mug in a microwave. Furthermore, mugs made out of plastic, glass, or ceramics are usually safe in an active microwave.

On the contrary, some plastic mugs/containers are so thin that they will melt if cooked in a microwave, which can lead to plastic getting in the food.

Should You Make Homemade Pizza Sauce With Your Pizza Mug?

Can we be honest with each other? Store-bought pizza sauce can be a hit or a miss. To have the best sauce for any pizza that you make, use homemade pizza sauce made from scratch.

Unfortunately, as a college student, you may not have the equipment to make a homemade pizza sauce. In that regard, store-bought pizza will be your best option.
