Wake up to a pineapple sunrise recipe that is sure to have your eyes wide open. The best part of waking up is a pineapple tequila sunrise margarita in your cup.
Pineapple Sunrise Is My Safe Word
I remember a time when Kevin Hart’s Laugh At My Pain came out. People came away from that movie with so many quotes.
From “alright, alright, alright”, to “you’re going to learn today”. One thing that was brought up is using the safe word “pineapple”.
The idea of using a safe word was a interesting concept, and I do like pineapples, but why stop there? I decided to make my safe word “pineapple sunrise”, because my pineapple sunrise recipe is so good.
In fact, I have another sunrise recipe that will get you right any time of the day.
The problem is that every time I say pineapple sunrise, I feel the need to make a pineapple tequila sunrise margarita.
Furthermore, can you blame me? This drink is so good, good enough to be my safe word.
The Origin Of The Pineapple Sunrise Recipe
The thought process of making the pineapple tequila sunrise margarita recipe is the same as my other sunrise tequila margarita recipe.
I woke up with a bottle of tequila in my hand, and I saw the sunrise. I do not know if you have experienced this before, but when you are drunk off tequila, the sunrise is beautiful.
Truth be told, the sunrise is beautiful sober, but off that tequila, the experience just hit differently.
I saw that sunrise, drunk off tequila, then I started Harlem shaking. I promise you I did not do it intentionally, my body started moving on its own.
If you had read the other sunrise recipe blog, then you know that I am making all of this up. I am just keeping it 100, but since I just lied, I will go ahead and say that I am keeping it 95.
Is Tequila Stronger Than Vodka?
Tequila and vodka are not necessarily stronger than one another.
In general, tequila and vodka are 40 percent alcohol, however, there are bottles of both liquors that contain more the 40 percent.
What’s The Difference Between A Tequila Sunrise And A Tequila Sunset?
A tequila sunrise margarita has the same ingredients as the tequila sunset margarita. So, what would be the difference then?
The difference is that the tequila sunset margarita uses soda water.
After the soda water is in the drink, the grenadine syrup is added so that the red can be at the top of the drink instead of the bottom.
Grenadine, The Same As Triple Sec?
Grenadine syrup is not the same as triple sec, and here is why.
- Triple Sec has an orange flavor, and the flavor of grenadine syrup is pomegranate.
- Grenadine syrup is red and triple sec is clear.
- You can use grenadine syrup to have a multi-layer colored drink. You will not be able to achieve this with triple sec unless other ingredients are being used.
Is Triple Sec Needed For Margaritas?
The tequila sunrise margarita recipe uses triple sec, but it is not needed. Simple syrup or anything sweet is a good substitute for triple sec.
Do Tequila And Pineapple Juice Have A Name?
The name of a drink using tequila and pineapple juice would depend on the other ingredients being used. For instance, the pineapple tequila sunrise margarita has multiple ingredients in it.
One of the main ingredients is grenadine syrup, which gives the drink that sunrise effect.
Another drink that involves tequila and pineapple juice is pineapple Paloma. Add grapefruit juice, lime juice, and pineapple soda to make this cocktail.
On the contrary, if the only ingredients used are tequila and pineapple juice, then this would be a pineapple margarita. Also, you are more than welcome to add lime juice to your pineapple margarita.
