A spiced bourbon cocktail recipe would be great to make and ease my mind. So, let us make this spiced bourbon spritzer recipe.
Spice Your Life Up
What gives a drink that spice? Is it the type of ingredients that you use? Maybe, the components need to be a little spicy?
Some cocktails do not use spices and they come out incredible. On the contrary, that is not a knock to drinks that do use spices.
I had drinks that used spices such as nutmeg, ginger, cloves, etc. For real spicy drinks, they may have some red crushed pepper flakes.
Personally, my favorite spice to use for drinks is cinnamon. Cinnamon is what put the spice in the spiced bourbon cocktail recipe.
By itself, cinnamon is alright but paired with the right ingredients you better be prepared for a sensation like no other.
What Drinks Mix Well With Bourbon?
Bourbon mix well with a lot of ingredients. Here are a few things that you can mix your bourbon with.
- Cloves
- Lemon Lime Soda
- Dark Soda
- Club Soda
- Ginger Beer (Got to love a good ginger beverage)
- Eggnog (Perfect for the holidays)
- Coffee
- Hot Chocolate
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Orange Juice (Any fruit juice is great to use)
I could talk about how good bourbon is, but that does not do my love for whiskey any justice. Furthermore, Whiskey as a whole is great for sipping and relaxing.
This is especially true when the drink has ice in it. Furthermore, nothing be a nice cold drink no matter what type of drink it is.
Then, after a hard day’s work, that drink is all that you can think about. This is why the spiced bourbon spritzer has you covered.
Is A Lemon Lime Soda A Good Mixer For Bourbon?
Lemon lime soda is excellent for bourbon. The lemon-lime flavor combined with the carbonation from the lemon-lime soda brings a fruity taste that goes well with bourbon.
Every time I mix lemon-lime soda with bourbon it is a refreshing experience.

Spiced Bourbon Cocktail Recipe Instructions
Place all the ingredients except for the club soda in your cocktail stirrer. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to NOT put club soda in your drink as of right now.
I admit I was never the smartest person in my science class, but one time I place a carbonated drink into a shaker, and when I got to shaking, the shaker exploded, making a mess everywhere.
This makes sense since shaking a carbonated drink is never a good thing.
Once the bourbon whiskey, cinnamon simple syrup, guava juice, grapefruit juice, and ice are mixed, pour the mixture into a cup, then add the club soda. Now, you can enjoy your drink.
