A Good Strawberry Mint Mojito
Some good strawberries are hard to come by. Well, not really, but kind of sort of.
To further elaborate, I hate going to the grocery store to buy a fresh batch of strawberries, and the next day the strawberries are not good anymore.
There are hacks to make your strawberries last longer, but we are not talking about that right now. Truthfully, the strawberries do not look the best in the first place, depending on your local grocery store.
Some grocery stores sell trash quality strawberries, and the freshest strawberries near you are hours away. With gas prices being so high, and time being so valuable, the situation can’t be helped.
On the contrary, when you have some lovely fresh strawberries, you can make some incredible recipes. It can be a cake, ice cream, you name it, and it will be delicious with a suitable batch of strawberries.
Furthermore, the drinks utilizing strawberries are superb. That is why this fresh strawberry mojito recipe is so incredible.
Origins Of The Fresh Strawberry Mojito Recipe
Usually, I have a nice origin story for my recipes, but this time it is simple. I wanted a mojito and I also wanted some strawberries, the end.
Of course, I put my mojito making skills to the test and came out with this phenomenal strawberry mint mojito recipe.
There are not any crazy methods to making this recipe. Simply blend your strawberries, and make your mojito like you normally would.
Granted, drinks involving a blender do take a little more effort than drinks that are made by just putting all the ingredients into one glass.
With that being said, this is still an easy drink recipe to make, and the reward of making this drink is divine.
What’s In A Strawberry Mojito
I hate to be captain obvious, but the answer is strawberries. Strawberries are what’s in a strawberry mojito. As obvious as that may be, that is not the only ingredient in this fresh strawberry mojito recipe.
Other ingredients are simple syrup, ice, club soda with some water, and we can’t forget the mint leaves. This is why I sometimes refer to this drink as a strawberry mint mojito.
Also, this recipe uses spice rum, but of course, if you do not drink alcohol, then this is optional. The drink will still come out fabulous.
Is Mojito A Rum Or Vodka?
A mojito is not a rum or a vodka in itself, but mojitos do contain rum, and sometimes it may have vodka in it as well.
The specific alcohol that needs to be used in a mojito is spice rum. Personally, I say that any alcohol is fair game to use in your mojito.
Is Mojito Mexican Or Cuban?
Mojitos are a traditional Cuban highball. I think that pretty much answers that question.
If you still do not know the answer, just know that this drink is Cuban, but you can enjoy a strawberry mint mojito anywhere around the world.
